Short Review of Our Manila to Banawe Ohayami Bus Ride

In my previous article, I talked about our trip from Manila to Banaue aboard a bus unit owned and operated by Ohayami. We actually asked around as to whether the bus transportation company is owned by a a Japanese national but we were told by the bus conductor that Ohayami Trans is actually the reverse spelling of the last name of the bus operator Mr. Rafael Imayaho, a native of Hingyon Ifugao.

Now, why did we take a Ohayami bus from Manila to Banaue when there were other available bus units plying the same route like the Florida bus.
Well, we got to the Ohayami bus terminal location sooner than the Florida bus terminal . Although, both but terminals for Manila to Banaue are located in Sampaloc, still I think it was because one of my travelling friends was keen on riding one, for reasons known only to him. So, we took the Ohayami bus.

This is how the Ohayami Bus, it was a "sleeper bus" , that took us from Manila to Banawe looks like from the inside. This was before we departed and the bus driver and conductor turned on the air conditioner of the bus. The interior setting of the bus was comfortable and the seats were okay but there was not so much leg room for some foreigners who were over six feet tall.

In fairness, the Ohayami bus was clean and comfortable. Here are some pictures of the Ohayami bus that took us from Manila to Banaue.

Notice the thick blankets? Yes, it was a sleeper bus and many of us, including the foreigners - tourists, were using blankets due to the cold temperature inside the Ohayami bus.

Good thing Ohayami Trans Company has a great deal going on with this place (shown in the picture) where its buses from Manila to Banaue can make a stopover and give passengers and the driver and the conductor take the time to stretch out, take the necessary breaks, eat, drink coffee or even just take a smoke. During our trip from Manila to Banawe, our stopover in this place took around 30 minutes.
